The Challenge
The Content Specialist creates a full range of product and solution-focused marketing materials. This role brings depth of channel and industry knowledge to the table, along with a metrics-driven approach to content development and curation. The candidate develops content strategy and manages editorial calendars for the Compulse.com domain, blogs, newsletters as well as other marketing collateral. The position requires strong writing and editing skills, content planning, and digital marketing skills. The ideal candidate should have a sophisticated writing style and at least 3-5 years of experience with copywriting, editing, and content development. Familiarity with LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram are also valued skills. This is a fast-paced startup environment. Candidates need to be able to think on their feet and pitch in where needed on the team.
Responsibilities
• Develop and support the content marketing strategy, including ensuring brand and marketing consistency and flawless execution across all tactics.
• Provide a high level of industry and solution knowledge to create marketing and thought leadership content, including product datasheets, brochures, industry white papers, infographics, e-books, emails, product demonstration videos, web content, multimedia presentations, and more.
• Fuel revenue growth via content marketing strategies, while supporting other channels for lead generation and brand awareness like email marketing, display advertising, remarketing, social media.
• Manage day-to-day content marketing activities including copywriting, landing page strategies, managing content marketing calendar, and continuous content improvements.
• Command a strong understanding of the B2B Marketing & Sales funnel to develop and implement content across collateral, website, and social media.
• Lead the collection, production, and editing of website material to maintain and improve the quality of information provided.
• Coordinate and integrate the work of writers and designers to produce a final layout compatible with corporate standards.
• Obtain client feedback to analyze opportunities for website improvements as well as for case studies and testimonials.
• Strategize with teammates and internal stakeholders to establish content strategies for new products and industries that will both establish Compulse as a leader in the space, but also drive meaningful growth within target industries and product areas.
• Become the content marketing subject-matter expert for the Marketing team and act as a resource to the broader Compulse team for campaign strategy planning and execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in English, Marketing/Advertising, Journalism or Strategic Communications
• 3-5 years of content marketing and digital marketing experience in a B2B/SaaS/technology space
• Experience at a high growth startup a plus
• Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript as well as the advertising ecosystem/industry highly desired, including Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) and programmatic advertising
• Experience with B2B audiences, SaaS or technical products, and complex audience segmentation
• Working knowledge of content development, writing, and editing as well as digital assets required
• Proven ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
• B2B Marketing experience and a clear understanding of the B2B marketing and sales funnel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly analytical and data-driven
• Able to work efficiently i n a fast-paced environment

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary compensation range for this role is $50,000 to $70,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
