Job Profile:

Reporting to the Chief Executive & Publisher and the HR Director, as the Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager of Simon & Schuster UK, Australia and India, you will provide both strategic HR direction to the business as well as oversee the day-to-day transactional HR support. This is an HR generalist function managing a small team in a fast paced environment, whilst working closely with the S&S HR team based in the US.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for the full range of HR activities including: supporting the business in the delivery of HR goals, coordination and oversight of compensation and benefits cycles, managing the performance management cycle; recruitment programmes; learning, training and development; support change management processes; HR systems; equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives; payroll; employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; monitoring and reviewing HR policies and processes; organisational and cultural change and providing feedback; coaching to management; leading on HR projects, initiatives and HR operations transformation, identifying ways for the function to work smarter and provide a better employee experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified with a working knowledge of the HR generalist field. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills together with solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application. You will be a proactive team player, self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy with strong client service and problem solving skills. You will be able to develop and support line managers through change. You will also be tactful and sensitive when dealing with employee information maintaining confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
