Simon and Schuster, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to join the Digital & Online Sales team. This position will report to the National Account Manager for digital audio. The Sales Associate will manage the relationship of multiple accounts and act as the primary point of contact for metadata and asset issues/updates.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly calls with accounts to review focus titles, discuss outstanding issues, changes to titles, as well as provide metadata updates
• Curate monthly lists for editorial opportunities and review drafting opportunities for upcoming titles for the PPU model
• Communicate major title announcements, price promotions, and shared bonus content
• Assist in the creation of seasonal list presentations and present a portion of the titles
• Assist accounts that are missing or have incorrect audio assets and/or metadata
• Inform all accounts of changes to audio masters or assets
• Send operations notifications to all accounts
• Upload ISBN catalog to facilitate linking on simonandschuster.com
• Map new release placement at our largest accounts every week
• Track bestsellers once a week
• Occasionally assist with company-wide weekly account reporting and sales analysis
• Occasionally create and send the weekly publicity report with upcoming titles and major publicity hits to all accounts
• Work with distribution clients to manage operational issues with client file uploads

Qualifications:
• Education: 4-year college degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience
• Experience: prior office experience preferred, with at least one year of related work at an Assistant or Coordinator level
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, problem solve and demonstrate initiative in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (prior knowledge of vLookup & Pivot Tables helpful, though not required)
• Strong interest in book publishing, content strategy, and the broader digital and online marketplace

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The annual salary for this position is $58,500.00 - $62,000.00

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
