Atria Books is seeking a Publicity Assistant to work closely with a Deputy Directors of Publicity and provide overall administrative support to a very active department. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of book publishing with a focus on the publicity process. This role will assist on campaigns for high profile, fiction and non-fiction titles from some of the most respected authors in the literary community within the Atria imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Responsibilities include administrative duties, as well as involvement in all aspects of publicity campaigns including: creating press materials, booking author tours, researching contacts, and pitching media. Candidates must be passionate about reading, eager to learn about media relations, interested in book signing events and partnerships, supremely detail-oriented, creative, possess strong writing skills, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
