Job Description
The National Account Manager position is responsible for selling both the Adult and Children's Distribution Client lists to Readerlink and Whole Foods, plus assisting with Target, Walmart, Costco, BJ's and Sam's. In this position, the National Account Manager is required to sell in and keep estimates updated in our system. The Account Manager must provide up front guidance as well as regular ongoing feedback on titles as appropriate using Sales Conference, Sales Development, post sales call notes, Forsyte comments, and account/channel review meetings with the clients. The Account Manager must create and maintain strong relationships with the buying and marketing staff at Readerlink as well as develop strong relationships with the client publishers. This role requires sales calls as appropriate by the given retail customer and must work closely with the other Account Managers who are servicing Readerlink. The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing the data uploads at Readerlink for the client team.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of prior sales experience within the publishing industry is required preferably with Readerlink or mass market retailer exposure
• Exceptional interpersonal skills needed with the ability to effectively communicate with varied personalities at the account as well as all levels of management and our client publishers
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously while attending to details and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Edelweiss
• Forward thinking, energetic, problem-solver with focused relationship building skills
• Passionate, dedicated reader preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The annual salary for this position is $75,000.00 - $75,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
