Job Description

Simon & Schuster Children's Books is seeking a Managing Editorial Assistant. This role is responsible for processing acquisition paperwork from the editorial/business office and setting up titles in the title management system; trafficking various work through the department and updating systems; sending weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports; scheduling and attending various meetings; daily interaction with editorial, design, production, sales, marketing, and legal departments

Excellent organizational and computer skills are needed

College degree preferred

Strong writing, grammatical, and communication skills required

Interest in children's book publishing is a must

The annual salary for this position is $50,000.00 - $50,000.00

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
