The Editorial Assistant (EA) position supports the entire Editorial department for Adams Media, providing administrative and editorial support as needed and reporting into the Director of Managing Editorial.

This primarily administrative role provides the unique opportunity to observe and participate in all stages of the Editorial cycle and is an ideal entry-level position for an individual interested in Publishing.

In this role you will:
• Manage product set up/updates in the Title Management System.
• Communicate all title/subtitle/author changes to the Production and Design department.
• Distribute department communications as requested.
• Compile/distribute NPD Bookscan weekly category bestseller reports.
• Support the Development and Acquisition teams on project-related tasks.

Required Experience:
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a creative self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The annual salary for this position is $45,000.00 - $47,000.00

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
