This is a fast paced, client facing role working across a hugely varied list, with independent and international publishers. The role is integral to the S&S business and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to S&S's global distribution strategy.

The Role:

Reporting to the Client Publishing Director, you will be managing the overall relationship between Simon & Schuster UK and several of our client publishers. This will involve liaising with clients on everything from sales strategy and promotional planning to metadata and logistics, as well as providing sales reporting and analysis. You will work closely with the S&S Sales and Inventory teams, pitching client titles to them and ensuring they have effective sales materials and stock. The successful candidate will be expected to take the lead on building sales and maximising profit for Simon & Schuster and our clients.

The Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a driven individual with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate strong commercial and analytical skills. You should have an awareness of the UK and international publishing markets, with an understanding of the needs of different client publishers. You will thrive on building relationships, always be willing to take on new challenges, be flexible and determined to succeed. A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy is essential, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task. You will be comfortable working on your own, as well as part of a team. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, are essential. A ''can do'' positive attitude is a must, along with a genuine passion for books. Prior experience in publishing roles and client management will be highly regarded.
