Job Description
The Client Manager is part of the Publisher Services department and will be responsible for managing the day to day, requests, and longer term projects for assigned distributed client publishers. They will serve as the primary contact and liaison between S&S Sales, Digital Operations, warehouse operations, finance, customer service and the client. The Client Manager will work closely with their Account Executive to identify scalable solutions, multi-client projects, and systemic challenges which impact client business. They will be responsible for regular reporting and communication with the Account Manager as it relates to client publisher business, focus titles, and outstanding issues via weekly updates and in person meetings. This position will allow a committed and enthusiastic individual the opportunity to develop critical skills and a comprehensive understanding of the sales and distribution of books in both domestic and international markets. Primary Job Responsibilities will be in the areas of sales, business/inventory management and communication. Independently and in support of their Account Executive they will:
• Monitor and promote client business objectives and goals, including the managing of and preparation for meetings, conferences, new title introductions, across all accounts, channels, and markets.
• Provide solutions to challenges and/or issues which prevent sales from effectively selling in client titles.
• Ensure that clients are being educated on promotional opportunities across all accounts and channels.
• Supporting Account Executive's day to day communication with sales on client title opportunities, missing orders, missing estimates, and forecasting/reporting of monthly and annual revenues
• Play ad hoc advisory role on inventory levels, reprints, and develop title level forecasts in partnership with sales, the Account Executive, and your clients.
• Manage Non-standard and promotional terms agreements between sales, the Account Executive, and operations. Including the quarterly reporting on promotions to channel heads and participating clients.
• Support Account Executive needs, as it relates to new client onboarding, annual business reviews, and regular check-ins.
• Working with operations and Account Executive to set up relevant reporting for new and existing clients.
• Working with operations to schedule and support new and existing client trainings.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and the Account Executive on coop strategy/planning, claims, and reporting.
• Maintain professional and timely communication with clients via emails, phone calls, conference calls, and in person meetings.
• Manage multi-client communications related to S&S changes, announcements, processes, resources, key due dates and deadlines.
• Solicit and summarize product feedback from sales as requested by sales or Account Executive.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 2+ Years of account management experience or 2+ Years of sales experience or in support of a sales organization is required.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and reporting software is a must.
• Grace under pressure; consistent delivery of internal and external customer service
• Must be able to multitask and manage many ongoing projects, deadlines, and client requests.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be highly adaptable; able to navigate ambiguity, and provide solutions in a timely manner.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The annual salary for this position is $$75,000.00 - $80,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
