Job Description
Sesame Workshop is looking for a Dubbing Manager to join the International Social Impact (ISI) department. This position reports into the Senior Director of Media Operations and will communicate with various stakeholders within and outside the ISI department. The Dubbing Manager will collaborate with the ISI production teams to establish a dubbing process and workflow and will provide support on the language and/or accessibility requirements of our projects.

Please note: This is a temporary contract position is for 6 months with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Liaise between producer and task force on language-related operations
• Lead on the dubbing of Sesame content for US and International markets
• Define and uphold creative and technical guidelines
• Troubleshoot translation, dubbing, and localization challenges
• Build network and leverage strong relationships with the talent and facilities internationally
• Maintain and grow existing databases of voice talent, language experts, and facilities
• Negotiate and track rates and costs for translation and dubbing work
• Create dubbing guidelines and audition resources for all productions and programs
• Collaborate with dubbing partners, producers and task force on casting, translation, dubbing and related activities
• Monitor and support local existing dubbing partners to ensure creative and operational excellence is maintained
• Knowledge of union and talent-related regulations
• Exercise and ensure diverse hiring practices
• Understanding cultural context and competitive media landscape
• Managing and improving workflows and systems
• Fluency in industry nomenclature, formats, processes, and technologies
• Familiar with current global trends for language dubbing and localization in our areas of operation
• Explore options and handle requests for making our content accessible (sign language, closed captioning, and audio descriptions)

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Television/Film/Media Production, Communications, Library Sciences, or a related field or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years' experience in TV/Digital/Film/Media Production, Dubbing, or Broadcast Distribution
• Strong interest in children's media and education
• Knowledge of Sesame programming
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in project or post-production management
• Solid online research skills
• Capacity to work across multiple projects and with various teams
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and across various time zones
• Must thrive in a collaborative environment but also be able to work independently
• Foreign language skills a plus
• Understanding of Microsoft applications and digital asset management systems
• Proficiency in Airtable or other database tools is preferred

International Social Impact is a division of the Social Impact and Philanthropy department that is responsible for growing Sesame Workshop's global presence and initiating, implementing and strategically sustaining local brand adaptations to drive reach and impact. The team collaborates with a variety of international partners, stakeholders, and service providers to deliver educationally targeted, high-quality content through coalitions of local and global media, education, government, corporate, donor and civil society partners. International Impact must strategically connect and synchronize Sesame's global networks at the regional and country-level and align content development with global development goals and global themes.
