Job Description
Sesame Workshop seeks a Coordinator, Global Institutional Giving, to join its dynamic Institutional Giving team. The coordinator will report to the Senior Director & Head of Institutional Giving. The Institutional Giving team is the knowledge center for bilateral, multilateral and foundation investment for Sesame Workshop's global early childhood development programming and drives impact for Sesame's programs by securing strategically- and value-aligned investments and partnerships.

The coordinator will play a key role within the Institutional Giving team in areas of administration, research, and fundraising. The candidate will provide essential administrative to the Institutional Giving's team, along with supporting philanthropic development activities, including supporting knowledge management, conducting prospect and landscape research, and project management tasks. Responsibilities are equally divided between administrative support and the operational functioning of the team.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for the Institutional Giving team including calendar management for Head of Institutional Giving as well as scheduling general team meetings, travel coordination, expense activities, and organizational support
• Support the team with initiative-related tasks, such as creating proposal timelines, arranging key partnership meetings, developing communications, and maintaining a database of SharePoint project-based information, resources, and meeting notes
• Assist in preparing materials for special projects, meetings, and presentations (in collaboration with relevant internal teams)
• Assist in entry and management of Salesforce CRM system (entering monthly pledges in gifts, and entering data into Salesforce)
• Conduct and support donor/prospect research
• Support managers with team management tasks
• Help train, and oversee department interns (when applicable)
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
• B.A. degree
or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of professional experience – background in non-profit, administration, social impact work (US or Internationally) and/or business development a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and desk research skills
• Ability to handle diverse tasks
• Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as in a team setting
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to consider and voice effective problem-solving solutions, especially in and around administrative efficiencies
• Experience with Salesforce or Microsoft CRM a plus
