Photographer, WMAR

WMAR, the Scripps ABC affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a talented Photographer to capture and tell the stories that matter to our community. In this full-time, onsite role, you'll be the visual storyteller behind the news, working alongside our newsroom team to create compelling content that informs and engages viewers across multiple platforms. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
• Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite and related news gathering equipment.
• Work in tandem with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Associates degree in related discipline preferred
• Generally 2+ years of experience in related field preferred
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Proficiency with lighting and computer based editing
• Proficiency with live microwave truck operation
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites
• Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Hourly: $29.80 - $30.70

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Maryland.
