Job Description
The E.W. Scripps is a premier media organization headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio with a political office in Washington DC. This office has a great opportunity for an Ads Operations Analyst to join their team. This important role provides the support required to process digital advertising campaigns from pre-sale to campaign launch. The Analyst's primary focus is reviewing, ordering, and executing campaigns for accuracy. They also interact with local sales teams and Advertising Operations staff to ensure seamless order execution, provide campaign strategy/guidance, and deliver high-level client support. The Ad Ops. Analysts have expert product knowledge that makes them a key contributor to digital growth, client strategy, and campaign optimizations. They may also mentor and train less experienced peers to foster development and ensure goals and initiatives are being met.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Completes accurate entry for all aspects of a digital campaign into multiple digital advertising sales systems.
• Assists with creating holistic advertising campaigns with the ability to manipulate and calculate pricing structures utilizing cost per thousand (CPM), cost per click (CPC).
• Enters and maintains accurate customer data in the order management system (OMS) or customer relationship management system (CRM).
• Provides consulting to sales teams with knowledge of third-party ad serving solutions as well as rich media technologies, including impression and click through tracking pixels.
• Utilizes web analytics, e.g., Omniture, Quantcast, Google Analytics to measure digital performance and provide client insights.
• Ensures that all elements of advertising campaigns are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures complete and accurate revenue recognition in a variety of billing systems.
• Prepares reports and data insights to support strategy for customer meetings.
• Compares reporting with third party(s) to confirm campaign reporting is tracking and campaigns are running as contracted.
• Works closely with Ad Operations and/or Account Executives to capture customer needs for execution of digital campaigns.
• Collaborates with sales team to recommend campaign modifications for optimal results.
• Supports and adheres to digital revenue operational processes, policies, procedures and standards.
• Attends and contributes to Sales and Ad Operations training and planning meetings.
• Cultivates productive, professional relationships with clients, vendors and internal teams.
• May perform more senior level duties including:
• Trains new and existing team members on systems and processes.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to peers.
• Creates and manages process documentation for team reference.
• Pilots new advertising systems to evaluate performance, cost, and feasibility.
• Fosters continuous improvement by proactively identifying and implementing streamlined workflows to increase efficiency and automation.
• Serves as subject matter expert on all required tools and advertising products.
• Acts as back-up for escalations related to advertising issues.
• Works with Ad Operations Management team for strategy development and execution planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in digital sales preferred.
• Experience with digital ad serving technology.
• Experience with order management systems.
• Experience with web analytics, e.g., Omniture, Quantcast, Google Analytics.
• Experience with digital ad serving technology.
• Experience with order management systems required; Wide Orbit traffic, Salesforce.com, DoubleClick, and FatTail preferred.
