Game Operations Assistant - ATX (PT)

Game Operations Assistants have the opportunity to see the business side of sports and entertainment first hand for the Austin Spurs. The Austin Spurs are a part of the NBA G League, the NBA's minor league system. The Austin Spurs are directly affiliated, owned, and operated by the San Antonio Spurs. Assistants have the opportunity to work directly with the Austin Spurs game presentation team, implementing group sales performances and all in-arena entertainment, including on-court promotions. Game Operations Assistants are involved with the creative side as well, participating in brainstorming sessions and meetings where promotional ideas are discussed.

What You'll Do: 
• Facilitate all game-day duties including: set-up of table locations, signage, handouts, etc. before the game and tear down after the game.
• Execute all on-court and in-stands promotions.
• Coordinate game-day logistics for national anthem participants as well as all other group performances & fan experience packages
• Assist the Mascot and Entertainment Team with all game-day appearances and needs.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Who You Are:  
• Must be available to work November 2024 – April 2025 at all Austin Spurs home games (24 regular season games with a possibility for playoffs).
• Must be a junior or senior in a 4-year college, recent college graduate or enrolled in a related graduate program with a flexible schedule; willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have the ability to work up to a 6-8 hour shift on game days (does not apply to every game), and carry/move/handle up to 50 pounds.
• Self-starter, pro-active, highly motivated with being efficient and timely in order to meet d eadlines .
• Is
outgoing, resou r ce f ul, and ab l e t o wor k i n a dive r se wor ki ng env i ronment with a d i verse g r oup
o f p eople.
• Has a reliable form of transportation to and from the H- E-B Center at Cedar Park and around the greater Austin metro area.
