Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The Manager, Broadcast Membership Services responds to inquiries regarding all aspects of broadcast membership in the Washington-Mid Atlantic Local. This position is responsible for broadcast membership outreach, Oracle data entry, maintenance of record and files, and providing general administrative support to the Executive Staff of the WMA Local.

• Responsible for the administration of dues check-off and all matters regarding dues and initiation for payments for WMA broadcast members.
• Responsible for the administration of Employer Reported Earnings for WMA broadcast contracts.
• Responsible for broadcast membership outreach and following up on all Status Notification Forms (SNF's) received from WMA employers.
• Responsible for maintaining files in V drive for WMA broadcast.
• Works closely with national and local staff to resolve individual membership/dues issues.
• Oversee broadcast membership services, including assisting with member health and welfare benefit questions and broadcast member communications.
• Assist with new or transferring broadcaster orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English; both verbal and written form.
• Demonstrate effective skills in the use of PC applications; Google Suite.
• Must be detail oriented with a high level of analytical skills.
• Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
• Superlative interpersonal skills with ability to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• General understanding of worker rights impacting broadcast members.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA deems necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:
• Associate's degree plus 2-3 years' previous experience performing similar work required.
• 4-year college degree preferred.
