Rocksteady Studios is looking to add to its family of staff. Reporting to the QA Lead , the QA Tester will be part of our QA team responsible for testing all aspects of our studio's 'AAA' game.

This role has hybrid working options available, and is offered on a 12 month fixed-term basis with possibility to be extended or converted to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow Rocksteady QA process, professional standards & set the highest standards in testing to support the requirements of the project
• Ensure that all issues & bugs are reported in an efficient & informative manner, keeping with the extremely high standard expected by Rocksteady
• B ecome the QA Expert for your assigned projects & given areas of specialisation
• Own, manage, create & regularly execute test cases th roughout the project life cycle. This includes documenting testing practi c es , QA process & reporting methods
• Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively test s & supports all features of the project
• To communicate to all levels of st aff within the Rocksteady team verbally & via effective high - quality reports
• Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently & all instructions are followed accurately
• Lead your assigned internal / external team and manage resources to effectively & thoroughly test the game
• T rain & manage internal / external testing teams to improve upon their performance & maintain high testing standards
• Provide information on resource requirements
• Provide suggestions for improvements in testing strategies & processes
• Deputise in the absence of Lead when necessary to ensure testing takes place accordingly
• Provide assistance where required to the QA Lead.

Technical Requirements
• Experience of testing on a range of platforms: Consoles and PC
• Multiplayer (Network / LAN / Local) testing experience
• Excellent MS Office Skills
• Understanding the roles of other areas of the industry
• Experience working on AAA title .

Skill Requirements
• Held a senior position on at least one released title.
• Knowledge of TCRs & TRCs
• Strong analytical skills & a keen eye for detail
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic & a desire to make world class AAA games
• Excellent organisational skills
• Developed & implemented strong & comprehensive test plans
• Computer literate (strong ability to pick up new software packages quickly)
• Good understanding of game development
• Ami able & approachable
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and individually
• Bug database management & maintenance
• Work closely with the development team in identifying, reporting & recreating bugs
• Liaise & maintain a good relationship with external parties
• Experience in passing on skills, e.g. teaching, mentoring, demonstrations or presentations of particular areas of knowledge .
• Flexible. Will be expected to work outside normal hours, including weekends & / or bank holidays, if necessary

Desirable qualities
• Management & execution of various automated tests via developer / in house / self-created tools
• Experience using version control software
• Familiarity
of issue / task tracki ng & project management tools
• A self-starter who has taken part in games development projects / development jams & is experienced using industry software & development engines
• Supply references to any accolades or portfolios
• University degree or equivalent qualifications in a technical or video games-related field
