Game Designer - Rocket League

What You'll Do

Psyonix is looking for a team-oriented Game Designer to help drive feature design and implementation for Rocket League. You will be working with our established development team of artists, engineers, and producers to maintain and improve existing features as well as design future features for Rocket League. Working with our Analytics & Design teams, you will identify what new features are needed and what existing features need design changes to keep Rocket League fans entertained and engaged.

In this role, you will
• Work closely with the Design Team
• Collaborate with the development team to create clear and concise design documents for feature implementation
• Work collaboratively to find practical solutions for adding new features into a successful game without sacrificing fun or quality for our players
• Obtain team playtest feedback on new features and collaborate on improvements
• Identify live feature improvements and find design solutions for implementation
• Review feedback from UX tests to help identify issues and improve usability, fun, and engagement
• Monitor the Rocket League community to seek out feedback and identify player needs, evaluate what's actionable, and create a plan of action to address

What we're looking for
• 2+ years of professional game design experience
• Experience with feature design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with other departments
• Shine in a collaborative team environment, be self-motivated and open to feedback
• Thorough familiarity with Rocket League mechanics and features
• UE4 development experience
• Experience designing for live ''as a service'' games
• Familiarity with Google Workplace tools (Docs and Sheets) and Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira)
