For nearly 20 years, we have been a driving force behind some of the most successful games in the industry, including Gears of War, Mass Effect 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Bulletstorm, Unreal Tournament III and Unreal Tournament 2004.We're looking for an Esports Product Specialist to join our team in sunny San Diego, CA! In this role, you will focus on working behind the scenes to make sure that Rocket League Esports run as smoothly as possible. You will be responsible for a wide variety of esports related needs. You'll contribute to the broadcast media strategy and implementation, talent management, broadcast partner relationships, and broadcast quality assurance.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
• Establish and maintain broadcast production workflow
• Cultivate and manage broadcast partnerships across all esports programs
• Watch broadcasts to verify quality, address concerns, and confirm sponsorship deliverables
• Identify and implement efficiencies of interdepartmental esports deliverables
• Ensure broadcast quality across all Rocket League Esports programs
• Ideate and pitch new ideas and angles for Rocket League Esports programs, products, and broadcast
• NOTE: Must be willing to travel frequently for events and work weekends
Ideal Candidate Must Have:
• At least 3 years of experience in esports operations, with additional media experience being a plus
• Deep experience and passion for esports
• Proficiency with business-related software, including Confluence/Jira, Google App suite, and production tools
• Understanding and experience with a variety of social media platforms
• A keen understanding and awareness of industry trends and emerging platforms
• Strong self-motivation, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit
• A team-focused outlook with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
Pluses:
• Bachelor's degree in business operations, sports management, or communications equivalent
• Graphic design experience
• Proficiency/Fluency in another language
• Additional media background with an emphasis on esports media and broadcast production
• A passion for gaming
• A passion for sports
• Previous experience on a ''Game as a Service'' or session-based game titles
