PMC: Human Resources Benefits Manager
We are seeking a skilled and driven HR Benefits Manager with expertise in Benefits Administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advocate for employees while overseeing comprehensive health benefits, leave of absence, and retirement plan administration processes. This role requires daily employee engagement, collaboration with external vendors, and leading wellness initiatives. This position can be based in either NYC or LA. Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
• Act as a main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding health, dental, vision, Disability and Life insurance, and wellness benefits, providing timely and accurate information.
• Advocate for employees and partner with our third-party Benefit Service Center to help answer employee questions, troubleshoot issues with our benefit providers, ensuring swift resolutions.
• Facilitate all tasks related to Open Enrollment, including planning, communication, employee support, and system updates.
Leave Management
• Manage all aspects of Leaves of Absence (LOA), including PMC Parental Leave, FMLA, DA, and other leave types.
• Collaborate with our Leave Management Vendor to ensure LOAs are processed and tracked accurately and on time.
• Provide guidance and support to employees navigating the leave process, ensuring compliance and maintaining confidentiality.
401k Administration
• Serve as primary point of contact for employers regarding 401k inquiries, including loans and withdrawals.
• Collaborate with the TPA and payroll to prepare annual audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Assist in auditing the employer match contribution and reconciling accounts.
• Host informational webinars periodically in partnership with John Hancock, and Financial Services.
Employee Communication
• Host monthly benefit meetings to educate new hires on PMC benefits and answer questions.
• Proactively promote health and wellness initiatives throughout the year, including monthly newsletters, educational materials, and webinars, while also highlighting PMC benefits.
• Regularly communicate and/or schedule webinars on PMC benefits and wellness fostering awareness and engagement.
HR Generalist Responsibilities
• Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the company, including setting up benefits enrollment.
• Facilitate the offboarding process, including ensuring proper benefits transitions such as COBRA coverage.
• Collaborate with internal teams on employee engagement efforts and initiatives to strengthen company culture.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity related to benefits and employment milestones.
• Provide support on various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 4-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on benefit administration and leave management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to present information clearly and effectively.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience collaborating with third-party vendors, external providers and brokers.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and Excel skills.
Typical wage range: $90k - $110k + bonus.
