Software Engineering Intern

San Francisco, CA

About the Team:

You'll be working in the team that develops and operates core features of PlayStation's Games and Social services. You will work on projects in PlayStation's Games and Social services that impact millions of video game players around the globe!

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement RESTful Web Services API
• Develop algorithms that deal with massive data sets to power these APIs
• Produce excellent, detailed design and development documentation
• Develop with agile methodology

Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or related field), and/or within 1 year of their post-graduation date
• A good understanding of object oriented design and programming.
• Exposure to Java programming highly desired
• A good understanding of database concepts, and some familiarity with NoSQL DBs like Cassandra, Redis etc.
• Knowledge of and experience in developing web server applications is a major plus
• Must be passionate about writing high quality and well-architected code
• Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus, but not mandatory
• Highly motivated with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and not afraid to ask for help/seek knowledge
