We are part of the Monetization Engineering organization, which strives to build incredible experiences that provide our customers easy ways to acquire PlayStation games and other content they love!Our teams own the user facing commerce and payment experiences on PS4 and PS5, driving continuous evolution and improvement, focusing on user experience, quality, performance, accessibility, data analytics and production monitoring.

We are looking for a technically strong leader with experience building and operating production systems either as an engineer or manager. We believe passion and personality matter! As such, we need leaders that can manage diverse, smart, and driven engineers while balancing day-to day-people management with moving the business forward both technically and culturally.

Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, mentor, grow, and empower your team by giving them the skills, confidence, and motivation to make decisions independently that lead to their personal and professional success, and enable them to become technical leaders
• Take an active role in driving and evolving the roadmap for the Commerce Monetization organization
• Role model for customer insight and focused delivery for customers
• Drive cross-team and cross-org initiatives
• Participates in product roadmap discussions, identifies key areas for improvement in the product and incorporate these goals into ongoing & future development initiatives
• Participate in deep technical design discussions within your team, and across partner teams, and ensure that we are building the right systems and keeping the quality high
• Lead day-to-day activities of the team using the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Collaborate with team members from PlayStation offices around the world
• Use data-driven decision-making techniques and promote/encourage analytics use.

Qualifications:
• You are experienced in building and managing complex user facing applications
• You are familiar with software engineering methodologies and bring a well-adapted approach to testing and driving reductions in technical debt
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You are able to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
• You have prior people management or mentorship experience
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
