Job Description
Why PlayStation?

Software Engineer I

San Francisco, CA

Do you have a passion for developing immersive experiences? We have an enthusiastic user base, and what you build directly impacts them! At PlayStation, we are looking for engineers to join a diverse environment where you'll get to craft rich, user-friendly solutions for our enthusiastic gamers. If you are passionate about quality, problem solving, and collaborating with teams across the globe, we believe you will be an extraordinary fit!

As a Software Engineer I, you would be an excellent absorber of information. Learn and contribute to our tech stack. Grow a familiarity with our user base and the various teams you'll be working with. All this to deliver highly impactful UI experiences to our users! The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable to change.

Located in scenic San Francisco. When you're not producing the best gaming experience possible, you'll have access to great food, wine country, hiking and all of Silicon Valley. We have a very flexible work from home policy: live close enough to the office for occasional in-person meetings and events, otherwise work in the office as much or as little as you like!

• Debugging and solving technical issues on your own with guidance and support from the team.
• Being able to work across teams with your fellow engineers, program managers, product managers, etc.
• Effectively seek out and parse key information and turn it into a solution.
• Effectively prioritize your time and build out user-focused features.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Excellent foundations to programming
• An appetite for knowledge and the curiosity to back it!
• An interest in consumer facing application UI technologies (javascript, react, angular, etc.)

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
• Experience with multi-team environments
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
