Yes! There is a Sony office in Madison, WI! We are located in the heart of downtown right on the Capitol Square with an outstanding view of the east side and many great restaurants and social opportunities right outside the door. We have a very flexible work from home policy: live close enough to the office for occasional in-person meetings and events, otherwise work in the office as much or as little as you like!

Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements and craft solutions for JavaScript-based components and applications for the PlayStation ecosystem
• Own features, analyze design requirements and building for testability, scalability, and performance.
• Write and complete unit and integration tests
• Work independently and collaborate with junior engineers on your team to optimize existing solutions and new features

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
• 1-2+ years professional software development experience
• Proficient in customer facing UI Development (HTML5/CSS3) or JavaScript library development
• Experience collaborating with multi-functional partners, especially with product, design, quality, and server engineering
• Domain proficiency in performance optimization or comparable areas within your current field.

Bonus Qualifications:

Expertise with SPA/front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
• Experience with restful APIs
• Experience with eCommerce or payment solutions
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
