Role overview:

The applicant is accountable for software quality assurance of SIE's internal and customer-facing applications using manual and scripted testing techniques. Duties include solving problems and resolving test code defects, test environment and infrastructure issues, as well as working with test management, bug tracking, source control, database, requirements management, reporting, and other tools.

In the course of performing this function, the individual relies on his or her extensive background in software development, QA activities, system integration, manual and automated testing, frameworks, and associated organizational processes.

The Senior Software QA Engineer is a member of an Agile Engineering team and collaborates with various SIE team members.
• Perform both ''black box'' and ''gray box'' testing by analyzing applications and requirements, crafting, and executing test cases.
• Integrate, support, use and maintain bug tracking systems such as JIRA. Source control tools such as GitHub. Test case management applications such as qTest
• Work with QA team members, software developers and system and database administrators to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments. This may include trouble-shooting database issues using SQL queries, reviewing web server and application server logs, etc

What we're looking for:
• 5+ years' experience performing software testing
• 2+ years end-to-end Integration testing experience with multi-tier systems & applications
• Web services, API testing experience
• Extensive experience with Relational Databases, composing and running SQL queries
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired skills
• Develop, execute automation scripts in Java using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and JMeter.
• Experience working with large-scale project repository of test cases and defects
• Experience using JIRA for bug tracking and Agile practices
• Experience using test management tools for test plan and execution
• Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Managers, and Engineers towards a common goal
• AWS experience / Cloud platforms and tools
• Experience with Splunk, JSON, XML
• Experience testing on PS4, PS5, or other console-based client devices
