Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Diego, CA to develop distributed services, collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, and operations team members to build payment platform solutions. Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience designing and developing front end and back end distributed architecture using Java. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience developing RESTful services for applications; creating detailed technical design documents with class and sequence diagrams; developing tools to support the activities necessary to transform customer needs into useful product; identifying options for potential solutions by assessing them for both technical and business suitability and creating requirement documents; troubleshooting and fixing production issues; providing technical support to team members and performing code review; participating in product road map discussions and identifying key areas for improvement in the product and incorporating these goals into ongoing and future development initiatives; dissecting high-level information into details and communicating these details in a manner understood by relevant audiences; and utilizing: Core Java, J2EE (SOAP, REST Web service, and Hibernate), Microservices, Distributed Architecture, SOA, TestNG, RDBMS (Oracle Database), PL/SQL Developer, JDBC, JNDI, Eclipse IDE, UNIX, Linux, SCM Systems(GIT), Application Server (IBM WebSphere), and Web Application Architecture.
