The Global Payments team is responsible for enabling players to buy content on the PlayStation Store and hardware via PlayStation Direct. The Global Payments Team is part of the wider Global Payments and Fraud Management team where we work hand in hand to maximize approval rates and minimize fraud. We are seeking an analytical minded individual to leverage large amounts of data to provide information, insights, and reports to the Global Payments team and wider PlayStation business.

Reporting to the Global Payment Analytics & Operations Manager in San Diego, this role will analyze global payments data highlighting anomalies, trends and fluctuations looking for opportunities to improve Payment KPI's. The work we do helps enable other teams to move at greater speed and to drive decisions to make PlayStation the best place to Play! What you'll be doing:
• Owning payment initiatives, reporting, and Adhoc tasks including understanding the data flow end to end, and getting results
• Proficient experience with SQL, Excel, and Tableau (Python, R, and other analytical tools are a welcome bonus)
• Working with people across the globe including San Francisco, San Diego, London, Waterloo, and Tokyo
• Supporting the business with accurate and timely data analysis for new initiatives and strategic business decisions
• Creating new data sources or utilizing existing data. If the data doesn't exist for the analysis you'll be expected to help source or create the data. We have a Data Solutions Team, but the expectation is to go to them with a solution while they set up the necessary pipelines and automation of the data processes
• Present your analysis and findings to Global Payments Leadership, internal teams outside of Payments and Fraud and external partners

What we are looking for:
• Analytical capability and SQL skills
• Outstanding analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Write advanced SQL/Snowflake to extract and analyze internal and external payments data
• The ability to look at how data sources are created, going from transaction level SQL data tables all the way through to aggregated and cleaned data
• Demonstrable ability to turn data into visualized, impactful analysis and metrics - make data depict a story
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with others
• The ability to present to both analysts and non-analysts.
• Ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders and the ability to work collaboratively with other business units
• Be able to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Passionate
• Someone who is keen to learn, and loves enabling the business and others to make better decisions based on the data
• Organized self-starter, attention to detail with drive and commitment. Able to work with little supervision
• High levels of personal motivation to further your skills, experience and business knowledge

Desirable:
• Strong understanding of CNP payment ecosystem, subscription business, Alternative Payment Methods, credit card networks, acquiring, acceptance rates, 3DS, and settlements
• Strong understanding of card schemes and regulation
• Prior experience in e-commerce
• Experience and/or interest in the video game industry
• Experience of building dashboards with Tableau
• 5+ years of experience in a commercially focused analytical role
