Senior Finance Analyst – GSBO Finance (6m FTC)

Role Overview:
The Senior Finance Analyst – GSBO Finance, is responsible for the accurate and timely global consolidation and analysis of the budget and forecast cycles for delivery into Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) corporate head office. This role will be responsible for managing the global Overheads and Headcount submissions for forecast and Budget, working with Corporate head office and teams globally to understand and develop detailed reporting, in order to deliver quality insights and accurate tracking to latest plan. This role also includes preparation and support of monthly reporting of global financials and key insights to senior management, including building new automated reports to streamline process.
Partnering with teams based in London, San Mateo and Tokyo, the ability to quickly build relationships, co-ordinate and manage workload across different time zones is key to success in this role. The Senior Finance Analyst – GSBO Finance will be reporting to the Director – Reporting, Analysis & Insights.
What you'll be doing:
• Global consolidation and timely aggregation of regional forecast/budget submissions to ensure accurate global consolidation to support presentations to GSBO Leadership team and SIE corporate
• Lead the detailed analysis and consolidation of global Overheads and Headcount submission for Forecast and Budget, and develop detailed global reporting to deliver key insights to management
• Working with key finance stakeholders across Regional Hubs, including Tokyo, San Mateo and London to prepare detailed financial analysis, providing financial guidance and support to Regional Hubs, and challenging Regional and overall Global submissions
• Responsible for global alignment, consolidation and analysis of detailed overheads and headcount data extracts and reports during plan/actuals cycles, to create value-add overheads and headcount reporting; and prepare executive ready presentation with insightful commentary
• Support preparation and consolidation of monthly reporting (e.g. actuals and flash), with a process improvement focus, including streamlining areas of duplication and developing automated reporting
• Scope and partner with various Insights and Analysis teams throughout the GSBO business to assess and rationalise current Global Finance Reporting deliverables, and propose and develop New insightful Reporting Suites to develop value added insightful output and analysis to support management decision making
• Initiate process improvements within GSBO finance, challenging the status quo and being pro-active in devising new process and ways of working
• Ad-hoc financial and project support (e.g. new Global Planning& Reporting tool(s) participation and UAT testing), as required
What we are looking for:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), with minimum 5 years PQE
• Experience working in a group headquarters FP&A role in a multi-currency environment
• Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task and handle high volume of requests in a time-pressured environment meeting strict deadlines
• Ability to manage and flex workload by working with stakeholders across global time-zones (London, San Mateo and Tokyo) to ensure tight deadlines are met
• Comfortable with ambiguity, a self-starter, pro-active and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible, an ''open to change'' mind-set, with a focus on process improvement
• Accurate, methodical and consistent approach to working
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with demonstrated experience building automated reports and quality presentations for senior management. Tableau experience an advantage
