Senior Data Storyteller
San Mateo, CA
We are seeking a talented and innovative Data Storyteller to join our team. You will be a member of the Product Data Science team which covers partners and user engagement. This role will involve researching and analyzing behavioral data to uncover compelling stories and insights. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with a strong understanding of data analysis techniques. This position focuses on the last mile of data science, taking complex algorithms and translating them into easily understandable insights so our stakeholders can make data inspired decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of behavioral data, including quantitative and qualitative data sources.
• Develop compelling narratives and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data to a diverse audience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-inspired opportunities and insights.
• Advanced ability to solve problems collaboratively within the immediate team.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on model outputs and or new data assets.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and data storytelling methodologies.
• Be agile and adaptable, able to challenge assumptions and revisit decisions based on new information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of data manipulation techniques (ability to query and transform data), including intermediate or advanced understanding of SQL or other similar querying languages and Python or other similar programming languages.
• Excellent storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and engaging narratives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and data management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in storytelling or a related field.
• Knowledge of the gaming industry or related domain areas (e.g. media or entertainment industries).
• Experience working with data-inspired teams or projects.
Need to Know
• This function is located in San Mateo, California. The team meets onsite one day per week, with additional onsite time as needed.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
