We are looking for a motivated and hardworking person to join the Security Engineering Operations team at Sony Interactive entertainment (SIE)! As part of Security Operations, your responsibility will be to support the day-to-day administration of some of the security framework components that protect the PlayStation platform. We meet this goal by providing security operational support while minimizing impact. This role is highly detail oriented, technical, and requires a solid grasp of security principles applied to production environments. Are you up for the challenge?

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
• Administrative and operational support of cloud and application security controls that can directly impact customers
• Triage and resolve incoming break fix tickets
• Day-to-day administration of security technologies led by the Security Engineering team
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes and procedures
• Understand and implement security policies as well as common industry security standards (CIS) and regulations (PCI) through technical tool sets
• Perform routine re-deployment of services to ensure we reduce risk, and remain aligned with our vulnerability management strategies
• Keep up-to-date on the current IT threat landscape and upcoming trends in information security
• Work on projects and other operational duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Associate degree or equivalent industry experience (5+ years)
• SANS GPPA certification preferred, or relevant perimeter security experience
• Security Engineering experience preferred but general IT experience will be considered if coordinating security controls were included as part of prior responsibilities
• 3+ year Linux administration experience
• Experience with deploying services within at least one cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managing security controls within it
• Intermediate understanding of Scripting/Automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Go, Shell) along with source code management and version control tools
• Experience using CICD tools for pipeline deployments
• Experience with network routing, firewall, and user-based security access controls
• Web based application (APIs, HTTP, TLS/SSL) knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Independent problem-solving skills and ability to run parallel tasks and accurately detail resolutions

Desired Experience:
• Experience with secrets management products
• Experience with application-based firewalls
• Experience using and deploying container environments
• Experience with host-based security tools that focus on file integrity and configuration checking
