QA Engineer

PlayStation Now is a revolutionary service that lets you stream hundreds of PS3, PS4 and ultimately PS5 games to your PS4/PS5 and Windows PC. PlayStation's Future Technology Group Division is looking for a talented QA Engineer that is capable of working on automation efforts with other engineers and QA resources.

As a QA Engineer, you gain and possess a deep understanding of the services provided, allowing you to create automated tests that exercise the service(s) at all layers. Your expertise will enable the development teams to have the confidence that both black box and white box testing is being performed to maintain the high level of standards set by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Responsibilities
• Work with engineers and QA to identify key candidates for automated test cases and unit tests
• Develop, configure, and maintain automated tests using Python
• Develop automation test scripts using Selenium when needed
• Execute both manual and automated tests
• Interpret code in languages such as Java and C++ as needed
• Assist in the creation of test plans
• Work with tools such as Jira, Gitlab/Github and Qtest
• Review, update, and create automated test cases
• Review, create, and triage new bugs with development teams
• Develop tooling as needed to assist with testing, either automated or manual
• Work with other QA team to evaluate and refine our processes

Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years' experience with automation scripting using Python and Selenium based framework
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience with Docker and Gitlab/Github
• Experience with back-end automation testing (databases, networking, etc)
• Experience with performance testing
• Working knowledge of C++, Java, JQuery, JSON
• Working knowledge of Kubernettes (k8s)
• Experience with mobile automation testing
• Experience with Jira or similar
• Experience working with Confluence
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Motivated self-starter capable of removing roadblocks
• Ability to work constructively with engineers, QA and Project managers towards a common goal
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban
