Job Description
Why PlayStation?

Manager, Enterprise Tools UX

Los Angeles, CA

The world is familiar with PlayStation's consumer gaming products, but we take our internal enterprise tools just as seriously. The Los Angeles based Enterprise Tools UX team is responsible for designing systems that tame the complex business processes that power our audience targeting, advertising platforms, custom design tools, consumer rewards programs, and more.

You are an experienced design leader and probably a former hands-on designer of complex user experiences. Your team is tasked with balancing product requirements, engineering limitations, and timelines to deliver pragmatic-yet-delightful UX for enterprise systems. You are tasked with looking after the team, assigning work sustainably, resolving conflicts, managing performance, and celebrating successes. You lead with empathy, aligning business needs with the skills and interests of your team, and guiding their careers.

Responsibilities
• Manage a high-performing, growing, and distributed team of designers that impact a broad array of products
• Attract and retain great talent by developing a cohesive and healthy team
• Balance the priorities of many product design teams and projects, ensuring short-term needs and longer-term strategies are satisfied
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with product management and engineering teams
• Care for a team of talented humans, participating actively in their career development though individual coaching and corporate performance management processes

Qualifications
• Experience as a people manager in a UX design team
• A portfolio of enterprise-focused design work lead by yourself or your team
• Strong communication skills to clearly articulate your concepts and rationale
• Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering counterparts
• Experience working with research and insights
• Ability to work unsupervised in an agile environment

This role is not eligible for remote designation.
