THE ROLE
Firewalk Studios is looking for a Lead Developer Support Specialist who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Lead Developer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for you and your team actively working with one or more disciplines in a support role to ensure they are running efficiently. You will handle a combination of content creation, bug fixing, production support, testing, and cross team communication with the goal of keeping teams healthy, functional, and transparent to the rest of the studio.

WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE
• Working with Production Director and Leads creating plans to improve our release process.
• Driving Release close out with Production, prioritize needed fixes and track overall build health
• Oversee the coordination with QA to ensure efficient embedded test support.
• Reviewing the Roadmap and P4 check ins to help communicate and coordinating testing of features
• Reviewing test plans and test cases with Production, feature teams and QA
• Ensuring the build process is working daily and drive for any fixes that are needed
• Working with QA to identify and solve build failures and configuration issues
• Owning test coordination of our playtests and improving on that process.
• Overseeing support of our development teams in the game engine with bug fixes and/or low-level content set up needs.
• Bridging communication gaps between departments, especially between QA, Production and their embedded team/s.
• Reporting risks to overall build and engine health
• Helping with Jira hygiene and bug database management and reporting
• Advocating broadly to plan development support strategies
• Owning upcoming build needs for Usability, demos and other build management for distribution to the team and other partners
• Owning the testing of large engine updates and feature roll outs
• Training and mentoring QA on more in-depth testing methodology
• Managing and mentoring your team
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in Jira or equivalent task and bug tracking system
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience testing throughout the development lifecycle in software or multiple AAA games
• Ability to analyze technical workflows, identify inefficiencies in testing process and suggest improvements to the developers.
• Experience working cross discipline to help solve problems
• Demonstrable ability to have important conversations and reach good outcomes for all parties involved
• Experience owning accountability and responsibilities with a team and working with them when there are gaps
• Experience with the production cycle of competitive multiplayer games is required

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$98,500 - $147,700 USD
