Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity to work alongside PlayStation Studios QA and test video games from studios like Insomniac, Guerrilla, Naughty Dog and Media Molecule to name but a few. You'll work closely with your team and implement test plans to ensure that PlayStation Studios titles deliver amazing experiences for all.

Based out of our brand-new Liverpool City Centre Office you will get to work on ground-breaking hardware and videogames within a large multicultural, multi region team; we are looking for curious, detail focused team players to join our team here in Liverpool. This is an entry level role and a fantastic opportunity to get exposure to games QA at the Best Place to Play… and the Best Place to Work.

This is a temporary position starting in April 2022 with an estimated end date 31st August 2022. This may be extended.

Hours of Work: 8:30am-4:00pm (Monday to Friday).

What you'll be doing:
• Complete assigned tasks
• Defect (Bug) detection and reporting via an issue database (e.g. JIRA))
• Monitor and updating of bug databases
• Create & Update test cases, this will vary dependant on test cases
• Report on testing status and progress
• Identify, document, and highlight project risks
• Work closely with people across the QA department and development team

What we are looking for:
• Strong written and verbal communication – How did you find that bug?
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (What steps need to take place for that bug to happen again? How does this game work?)
• Proactive problem solving
• Eye for detail
• You are based in and eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to Have:
• Passion for videogames
• Interest in or education in game development
• Interest in testing / Quality Assurance
• Excellent PlayStation Platform Knowledge
