PlayStation Studios Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to join the team. Acting as the accounting and finance business partner to the studio, you will focus on financial planning and analysis as well as accounting compliances while ensuring alignment in the studio's financial strategies to SIE's overall direction and strategies.
Our ideal team member would bring knowledge of and experience in gaming industry or at least have exposure to activity-based environments where costs are allocated based on product/ projects. The person shall not be afraid to question current practices and seek business improvement(s) where possible. Someone who face challenges with optimism and is always looking for ways to be helpful and support the work group.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a business partner to Malaysia Studio's management team and assist with all matters related to accounting, budgeting and forecasting for the Studio.
• Management of the studio's Cash Forecast/ Flow.
• Management of accounting compliance for Malaysian Investment policies, which includes but not exclusive to below list :
• Management of claim process (documentation & evidence reporting as per Malaysia accounting standards).
• Incentive expenditure projection, utilization planning & timeline monitoring and auditing.
• Management/ Monitoring of the entity's local accounting and taxation compliance.
• Support Production Management in matters relating to Project Billing/ Studio Rate Card.
• Support Production Management on work order processing for vendors in the region when necessary.
• Lead monthly financial review meetings with studio leadership and provide variance analysis to central finance team.
• Ensuring month-end close and period end reporting activities are executed in line with the internal requirements.
• Report on studio's performance critical metrics including headcount, out-of-budget expenses, and product P&L.
• Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports to appraise studio's performance and support decision making at various levels of management.
• Partner closely with key regional department representatives and finance staff, developing proven understanding of regional accounting practices and ensuring timelines and results are met.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis for project's performance and operational efficiency.
• Assist in the development and execution of studio-wide initiatives.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or other related field.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience working in a financial environment with involvement in management reporting and budgeting/ forecasting.
• Strong understanding and experience with financial planning concepts including variance analysis, capacity/utilization, and general accounting. International experience or experience with a multi-national company a plus.
• Ability to develop partnerships inside and outside the department through effective communication, positive demeanor, and professionalism.
• Experienced in SAP, Oracle or other accounting packages.
• Must possess a high degree of attention to detail and organization.
• Passion and energy for working in gaming industry.
• Strong ability to translate analysis into insights and findings and storytelling-style presentations.
• Excellent data analysis and financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel and solid MS Office skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, working through uncertainty under various time constraints.
• Strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
• Ability to collaborate across functional/ regional teams.
