Finance Analyst, PlayStation Services (FTC - End of Mar 2023)

Role overview:

This role supports the PS Subscription business (PS Services team) globally working with them through the forecasting and budgeting process. This role works closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner in order to align on assumptions, planning items and commentary.
• Responsible for the financial planning governance and coordination with Global FP&A for the PS Services forecast contributing to the accurate and timely production of the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts/budgets.
• Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager working with a large range of stakeholders across PlayStation globally, responsible for challenging, consolidating and reporting on forecast submissions.
• Provides updated R&O to the FP&A team to ensure plans are on track vs targets

What you'll be doing:
• Manage PS Services budgeting and forecasting process, running the financial model and preparing outputs for leadership
• Reviews and challenges assumptions working closely with the business
• Submits plans and provides global P&Ls to the business and leadership on time with planning calendar
• Provides commentary and insights to leadership regarding changes in plans, analysis performance vs plan and identifies risks and opportunities to close gaps
• Takes ownership of the forecasting model as we transition to an automated planning tool. Further improves the current model and builds outputs in the planning tool
• Monthly analysis of Global P&L actuals and flash forecasts working closely with FP&A and business partners to understand and report on key variances

What we're looking for:
• Accountant with at least 4 years relevant experience or 2 years PQE in a finance function working with commercial teams or business
• Strong financial background with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel required (VBA level an advantage) and knowledge of Tableau preferred
• Experience of planning tools including their development preferred
• Experience of working in a regional /global environment.
• Experience of digital products or subscription services preferable (i.e., online services & entertainment business (Games/ Film / Music)

• Able to identify and develop opportunities to improve, innovate and/or pioneer new ways of working through continuous process improvement practices
