Dev Ops Engineer

The Partners Data Engineering team (LA) provides data pipe, warehousing and analytics solutions for the PlayStation Partners Platform - a vital collection of applications and services used by our partners (content creators, game developers and publishers) worldwide to create and publish games and content on PlayStation.
Our mission is to deliver timely, scalable and high quality data and insights to empower our business to make data-driven decisions, drive operational efficiencies and identify revenue opportunities.

As a Dev Ops Engineer you will help us to ensure infrastructure quality and security while we push towards technical excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:
• Build and implement continuous integration and continuous platforms for development teams.
• Develop and implement standard methodologies, including providing support engineering solution architectures and strategies for data pipelines and applications.
• Partner with data engineering teams to develop practical automation solutions and participate in multi-functional team meetings to collaborate and ensure successful execution.
• Maintain internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to a data pipeline, application, and environment to be used by engineers.
• Apply modern monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Support of performance and test automation integration into the CI/CD pipeline
• Remediate vulnerabilities in CI/CD pipeline tools and software along with container hardening
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve operational issues with the CI/CD pipelines, assisting with issues arising from product upgrades, installations, and configurations.
• Experience with AWS services, e.g., EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of proven experience on engineering and architecting solutions in the AWS Cloud
• Strong knowledge with Git, Github, Jenkins or CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy pipeline development
• Strong developer approach with experience in CloudFormation, YAML, and JSON configurations.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and Docker constructs, and container orchestration experience using AWS ECR/ECS or EKS.
• Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, etc
• Experience with database administration, schema design, query analysis, performance tuning, and optimization
• Python, shell scripting experience for automation and integration
• Good communication skills - you will be able to tailor your communication to technical and less technical audiences alike

Desired:
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK
• Experience with data science implementation on AWS Sagemaker Pipelines or MLOps.
• Experience with data integration, near real-time data pipelines and ETL technologies
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Gamer or experience in the gaming industry a plus.
