Corporate Counsel, Network Advertising
San Mateo, CA (hybrid)
As Corporate Counsel for Network Advertising, you will support PlayStation's global network advertising business--the team responsible for the development and sale of advertising products on PlayStation's owned and operated platforms. PlayStation's Network Advertising Team generates significant revenue and is experiencing sustained growth, both in terms of volume of ads sold as well as deployment of new ad offerings.
You should have the ability to manage a large number of transactions simultaneously, and you must have excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business goals to enable this team's growth. You should also have experience with the digital advertising business, its major players, and relevant laws and regulations, and the ability to share this experience in effective collaboration with and counseling of legal and business stakeholders
.
Responsibilities:
• Support PlayStation's Network Advertising business by managing and closing a wide variety of business-critical agreements in a high-volume environment,
• Understand and stay up-to-date on the latest legal developments related to marketing and advertising worldwide, and proactively advise the business of relevant legal developments,
• Identify areas where PlayStation's internal legal processes can be improved to better support the Network Advertising business, and work with internal stakeholders to drive those changes forward,
• Collaborate with colleagues in legal and the business to anticipate and address challenges related PlayStation's Network Advertising business, and
• Have strong commercial transactional experience and the ability to draft clear, effective agreements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, particularly working as in-house counsel in a technology company or advertising or marketing agency.
• JD or LLM degree from top law school; admitted to a US state bar. California State Bar membership is preferred. At a minimum, the candidate must be qualified for and quickly obtain Registered In-House Counsel status in California and the willingness to maintain that status during employment.
• Experience managing marketing and advertising related commercial transactions.
• Experience with marketing and advertising related regulatory issues.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$190,100 - $285,100 USD
