PlayStation UK are looking for a Community Manager to join their busy communications team to support our business goals across all software, hardware and services. As the PS UK Community Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and establishing strong connections with relevant gaming communities across the UK, integrating community engagement strategies into product marketing campaigns as well as supporting with communications across our PS UK channels.

What you'll be doing:
• In collaboration with the Senior Communications Manager and Social Media Manager, you will determine community strategies for the PlayStation brand, products, and services.
• Identify and build relationships with key community influencers that are relevant and engaged with PlayStation products and services.
• Look at ways to support these communities and build advocacy for PS products and services by leveraging PS UK social channels and access to product and information.
• Devise and implement community campaigns (organic and paid) that align with communications and marketing strategies.
• Ensure that all PlayStation product campaigns have an integrated community plan which includes both strategic approach and core targets, with rationale and supporting data.
• Establish ways of working with PlayStation's publishing and retail partners to ensure we are integrated into their community engagement plans.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the content creator and streaming landscape in the UK to identify new talent to work with and champion.
• Assist with the production of copy and assets for the PlayStation UK social channels to support community activations and campaigns.
• Organise and participate in events to build relationships with relevant communities and boost brand awareness.
• Support existing community focused programs, while identifying ways to build further engagement, such as with PS Access.
• Identify & support planned and reactive campaigns around seasonal and newsworthy moments to ensure we maintain an 'always on' approach to community engagement.
• When appropriate respond to comments and questions from the community.
• Keep on top of cultural and digital trends.

Day to day responsibilities:
• Identify exciting and relevant advocates for PS UK campaigns and cultivate relationships with creators and community influencers in a meaningful way.
• Be a point of contact for incoming content creator and community influencer enquiries.
• Analyse engagement levels of creators, streamers and community influencers and suggest relevant targets for campaigns based on insights.
• Copywriting & scheduling content across Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
• Work with external agencies as and when required on content development & production.
• Communication between the PS and the online community (across PS UK social channels, Influencers, MVPs, PSN accounts).
• Ensure that relevant PS Access content is supported across PS social channels.
• Collaboration with external community managers across gaming and wider entertainment sector.
• Assess ROI and success of community activity.

What we're looking for:
• Educated to 'A' Level (or equivalent), preferably to degree standard.
• Proven experience working in a professional environment, preferably in the games industry, such as at a video game studio or publisher.
• Proven work experience as a community manager with expertise in launching community initiatives and ability to identify and track relevant community metrics.
• Experience in social web outreach and proficiency with native social media platforms and analytics.

Preferred qualities:
• Outstanding communications skills, including strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required in a dept. where communication is key.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• An ability to differentiate between using personal initiative and knowing when to escalate an issue to the PR Manager / Senior PR Manager / Head of Comms
• Computer Literate – experience of major business applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strategic thinker with strong leadership, management, and communications skills.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to work with other members across the organization.
• Extremely detail-oriented and driven to consistently meet deadlines.
• Able to make critical decisions under time constraints and a full work load.
