Role Overview:

The Category Development Manager defines our retail position now and in the future. Furthermore, they derive the calendar of brand refresh and new solutions that we test and learn to evolve our execution.

What you'll be doing:
• Map and define the current store environment
• Systematically understand our strengths, challenges, and opportunities at retail across our portfolio
• Define the future of in store & how interacts with online
• Own instore trends/insights in video games & beyond
• Define the retail landscape now and where we activate
• New solutions in the instore retail environment – space, digital, analytics, merchandising etc
• Define the shopper journey with online manager
• Develop new solutions with Creative manager
• Global overview of merchandising
• Global Screen strategy and regular review data
• Jointly own the new category calendar taking on territory feedback external trends and brand refreshes

What we're looking for:
• 5 + years' experience in a commercial or marketing role, preferably with a focus on retail.
• Marketing communications, sales, channel or brand management experience. Agency side or other consultancy digital commerce experience also considered.
• Proven analytical skills and ability to understand and consider marketing investment scenarios (e.g. value, analyses, etc).
• Exposure to a broad range of traditional and non-traditional consumer marketing techniques/vehicles (e.g., digital, social media, PR, retail marketing, etc).
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience working within data and interpreting results to drive decision-making. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Diligent teammate with a take charge attitude.
• Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Mature individual with capacity for rapid change and degree of ambiguity.
