Analytics Implementation Developer (Experimentation)

San Francisco or San Diego, CA

The Analytics Implementation Developer (Experimentation) position is a client-facing role requiring both technical and business/marketing knowledge and skills to improve PlayStation's ability to measure optimized experiences. This role will work to gather and understand unique business requirements for each experimentation project and develop and build customized end-to-end data flow solutions to meet the requirements with off-the-shelf and in-house analytics tools. In addition, this person will help different development teams implement analytics tagging or A/B test code throughout their applications, perform quality checks to ensure that the implementation work has been completed successfully, and diagnose and solve technical issues when they arise. While not a programming position, it is a very technical job with constant customer interaction. The responsibilities listed are not all inclusive and additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Gather, detail and help form/guide client business requirements, key performance indicators and other functional and/or technical requirements
• Design customized solutions and technical tag implementation strategies
• Generate customized analytics data collection code and assist with its implementation and deployment
• Support client engineers and QA throughout the implementation process
• Validate and debug implementation and follow through on issues until resolved
• Advise key partners and drive client success based on clients most important business drivers
• Communicate confidently and proactively with customers throughout the project lifecycle
• Balance multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Handle customer expectations appropriately and keep projects on schedule and within scope
• Some technical writing and PowerPoint presentation creation

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years' experience working in analytics, conversion rate optimization, web/app development, or A/B testing
• Extensive experience working with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Segment or similar tools
• Solid experience with A/B testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, VWO, or Google Optimize
• Solid understanding of common analytics use cases including critical metric development, dashboard creation, online marketing, advertising technology, digital attribution, experimentation, and media consumption
• Experience with custom schema definition using Snowplow, Segment, Google Analytics 4 or similar
• SaaS or other software implementation experience
• Passion for the internet domain and use of technology to solve business problems
• Must be self-motivated, responsive, professional and dedicated to customer success
• Possess an innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented approach
• Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills both verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be a great teammate, and manage change effectively
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Desired qualifications:
• Website optimization consulting experience
• Web/app development experience in application frameworks such as React Native
• Extensive JavaScript experience, ideally TypeScript
• Web API usage experience
• Experience with SQL, preferably in Snowflake
• Master's degree in business or other related advanced education
• Experience in large-scale software engineering organizations (Agile or related experience; Github usage experience)
• Japanese language proficiency and working experience strongly preferred
