The Roto Paint Artist will play a critical role in the successful delivery of high-quality roto and paint work on our projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to create accurate mattes and remove unwanted elements from shot plates.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Create accurate mattes to extract specific elements from shot plates
• Remove unwanted elements such as wires, rigs or tracking markers from shot plates
• Modify and remove isolated elements for digitally composited sequences using procedural and hand painting methods
• Perform plate clean-up by removing unwanted artifacts and compositing them with a clean plate created by the artist using tracking software and scripting
• Paint final comps before film-out to resolve last-minute problems
• Perform background repair and wire removal
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rotoscoping techniques and 2D animation skills

Job Requirements:
• At least 2+ year(s) of industry roto and paint experience
• Strong proficiency in Nuke
• Experience with hand paint and procedural comp/paint a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently within a production environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to new software
• Able to work under tight deadlines
• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Dependable, flexible, and able to take direction well

L'artiste en roto paint jouera un rôle essentiel dans la réalisation de travaux de roto et de paint de haute qualité sur nos projets. Le candidat retenu travaillera en étroite collaboration avec notre équipe pour créer des mattes précis et supprimer les éléments indésirables des shots de tournage.

Principales responsabilités :
- Créer des mattes précises pour extraire des éléments spécifiques des éléments de tournage
- Retirer les éléments indésirables tels que les fils, les rigs ou les marqueurs de suivi des images de tournage.
- Modifier et supprimer des éléments isolés pour des séquences composées numériquement à l'aide de méthodes procédurales et de peinture à la main.
- nettoyer les plaques en supprimant les artefacts indésirables et en les composant avec une plaque propre créée par l'artiste à l'aide d'un logiciel de repérage et d'un script.
- peindre les comps finales avant le tournage pour résoudre les problèmes de dernière minute
- Effectuer des réparations d'arrière-plan et des suppressions de fils.
- Maintenir à jour ses connaissances des techniques de rotoscopie et d'animation 2D.

Exigences du poste :
- Au moins deux année ou plus d'expérience en rotoscopie et en peinture dans l'industrie.
- Excellente maîtrise de Nuke
- Expérience de paint à la main et de la paint procédurale un plus
- Solides compétences interpersonnelles et en communication
- Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement de production
- Souci du détail et excellentes compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes
- Volonté d'apprendre de nouveaux outils et de s'adapter à de nouveaux logiciels
- Capacité à travailler dans des délais serrés
- Solide esprit d'équipe et attitude positive
- Fiabilité, flexibilité et capacité à accepter les consignes.
