Senior Creature Animator

Minimum Requirements:

Pixomondo is an award-winning, international studio creating visual effects for high profile cinema and television productions such as Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games, Star Trek:Discovery, The Mandalorian, Westworld and Hugo.
Our global presence allows us to build teams comprising the best talents in the field, both nationally and internationally.
Our Frankfurt Studio is currently looking for an experienced Animation Artist to work closely with our 3D Department on upcoming international film and television projects.

Job Qualifications:
o 4+ years experience creating character and creature animation for VFX Films and TV
o Strong sense of composition and excellent attention to detail
o Excellent knowledge in Maya
o Solid communication skills in spoken and written English (any German is a plus)
o Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team
o Ability to work under tight deadlines
o Willingness to share knowledge as well as willingness to learn
o Basic knowledge of scripting in Maya is a plus (mel or preferably python)
o Working knowledge of MoCap and / or Rigging is considered a plus
o Examples of work should contain strong creature animation, as well as strong body mechanics of bipeds

Duties & Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities in this role are:
o Eagerness to deliver key frame animation as well as animation using MoCap data
o Collaborate with Supervisors, Leads and Comp team to ensure all elements achieve the desired look, whilst ensuring continuity
o Ability to work without too much supervision
o Maintain shot quotas set by Supervision, Prod and Leads
o Ability to identify problematic shots that may affect delivery schedules and communicate concerns to Leads and Supervisors
o Work should demonstrate an experienced ability to define character personality, create fluid motion, organic movement and storytelling
