Senior Accountant

Job Description

We've a great new opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team here at Pixomondo. Based in Frankfurt, you would p rovide support to the European Finance Controller and Head of Studio with all aspects around Month-end Close, reporting and financial MI requests.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience with German taxation; financial practices and regulations and business level competence in the German language.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the month-end close cycle with supervision of the Finance Controller to ensure timely 5 day close and preparation of accurate financial statements
• Prepare monthly accrual and prepaid journal entries for all German entities
• Compile and prepare biweekly payroll entries for all German entities
• Prepare monthly global recharge analysis for Controller sign off prior to invoice creation
• Prepare monthly Balance sheet and bank recons for German entities
• Enters invoices and ensures proper coding based on PXO standards and controls
• Assist with PO creation adhering to PXO standard practices.
• Provide monthly reconciliation of top vendor accounts to ensure alignment across companies
• Assist with the preparation of annual Budgets and quarterly forecasts to comply with Sony deadlines
• Provide support on annual audit and local tax requests
• Provide support to Controller and accounting team for ad-hoc projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Professional accounting qualification eg CPA, ACCA or CIMA.
• 1-5 years post qualification experience
• Excellent Excel Skills and Attention to detail is a must
• SAP By Design skills a plus
• Excellent communication skills and can work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to effectively multi-task
• Good working knowledge of German taxes, i.e. VAT, payroll taxes, etc…
• Previous knowledge and experience with local/regional German funding/tax benefits for the VFX industry desirable
