3D / CG Lead

Job Description

Job Qualifications:
• 5+ years of working experience or an extraordinary CG Generalist demo reel
• Excellent knowledge in Maya, Basic knowledge in Houdini
• Knowledge of Arnold
• VRAY is a plus
• Knowledge in Z-Brush and Nuke is a plus
• Strong skill-set in modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and compositing
• Basic knowledge of scripting in maya (mel or preferably python)
• Ability to create custom render passes and AOVs
• Basic knowledge in Nuke (precomps)
• Ability to create sequence lighting from scratch
• Ability to self-troubleshoot renders

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Demo reel that shows strong artistic skills including a strong sense of colour, lighting, perspective, scale, and composition
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to take on a delegated task with a minimum of supervision
• Strong communicational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform in a strong team environment
• Experience of real-world lighting and photography as well as understanding of cinematic lighting
• Willingness to share knowledge
• Unreal experience is a plus
• Able to find the right balance between quality & rendertimes
• Basic knowledge of scripting in Maya is a plus (mel or preferably python)
• Solid technical understanding of all aspects of 3D
• Assist with the planning and optimizing of workflows together with department leads and CG Supervisors
• Escalate any technical issues if something is not working as expected
• Assess the work of junior artists and give constructive feedback
• Achieve the expectations of a Team Lead: the ability to motivate people, an interest in mentoring others, conflict resolution and an enthusiasm for what you do

• You must have an existing EU work permit and permission to live in Germany
