The Subsidiary Rights Department seeks an assistant to support two directors in foreign rights. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain entry into international licensing and publishing and calls for a solutions-focused individual interested in supporting a team and helping build industry relationships. Partnering closely with the supervisors and with the team, this assistant will collaborate on our goals to expand the reach of PPG's titles through licenses worldwide.

The Role:
• Provide administrative support, including answering e-mails, creating deal sheets, invoicing, scheduling, updating tracking systems, etc
• Work closely with licensees, co-agents, and scouts to provide materials and title updates and respond to requests
• Assist with direct submissions and deals in un-agented translation markets
• Maintain the internal submissions and licensing databases
• Draft and maintain rights lists for upcoming titles
• Liaise with the Production, Art, Editorial, Contracts, and International Sales departments to gather information and materials
• Opportunity to sell select projects independently. Maintaining extensive backlist

The Essentials:
• Excellent organizational skills and a talent for prioritizing tasks with a hands-on approach to research/ad-hoc projects when needed
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently
• Timely follow-up skills and ability to keep close attention to detail
• Prior foreign rights experience a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and an avid interest and ability to learn new applications
