Working within our proprietary Sales team as a Publishing Manager, you'll oversee an account-driven adult/children's custom publishing initiative. In this unique role, you will work closely with sales to ideate, develop, and publish new titles. Working with, and reporting into, the proprietary sales Director, you'll oversee editorial development, managing editorial, project management, and design as you navigate numerous and varied titles alongside a devoted production team.

This is a role where you'll need to wear multiple hats, having the ability to edit various projects at once, to a keen eye for keeping projects on schedule, and building and maintaining relationships while also prioritizing and analyzing market trends in equal measure. If you're inquisitive, can spot an opportunity to fill a gap in the market, love organizing and managing complex schedules, editing exciting concepts, and enjoys both analyzing current trends and particularly acting on them, this is the ideal role for you!

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
• Overseeing the design of the book project including the selection of the cover and interior layout, as well as editing content during each stage of the book creation process
• Reviewing in-house and account project feedback and articulating those notes thoughtfully with the book packagers
• Partner with book packagers to negotiate contracts, project budgets, and schedules and oversee editorial development and project schedule milestones
• Implement managing editorial and scheduling responsibilities for titles
• Concept development and ideation for 12-15 new titles per year plus managing a growing backlist
• Analyze sales history, research comp titles, and identify trends and publishing opportunities to complement our current lists
• Design direct projects with sales channel feedback, ensuring all parties are kept up to date
• Establish, build, and maintain relationships across all sales channels as well as with book packagers
• Expand external partner relationships to ensure timely completion of projects and the ability to handle any difficulties as they arise

We'd love to see that you have:
• Minimum 5 years publishing experience, or equivalent industry where you're engaging with Sales, Editorial, Publishing, Managing Editorial or other related
• An ability to demonstrate that you're a creative thinker with a keen understanding of the publishing marketplace and accounts
• Examples of where you generated new custom ideas and concepts with a focus on sales, especially taking an idea from inception to the finish line
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, predominantly PowerPoint and Excel, as you'll want to showcase your analytical and sales skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team

As the newest Publishing Manager at Driven, not only will you have an opportunity to join a globally recognized business, in an industry that's experienced some incredible growth, but you'll be working within a successful team that's going from strength to strength. To be considered, apply now and showcase how you'll shape the way for PRH!
