Marketing Associate, Random House Children's Books (Open to Remote)

Random House Children's Books' Marketing department is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join the digital marketing team. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative team that oversees all aspects of digital marketing for books for children of all ages, including social media, newsletters, websites, videos, influencer promotions, and more. This is a key role to assist the team in the marketing plan development and oversee the project management for digital marketing tasks that support bestselling authors like Nic Stone, Jennifer Niven, Nicola Yoon, Karen McManus, Philip Pullman, and classic children's brands like Magic Tree House, Dr. Seuss, Little Golden Books, and Sesame Street, just to name a few. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organization and administrative skills, attention to detail, and an interest in social media, digital marketing, and children's book publishing. The Coordinator will report to the Director, Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the design/asset creation workflow in partnership with the Brand and Trade Marketing Designers, including routing assets for approval to editorial, copyedit, title marketers, designers, licensors, and authors, incorporating feedback, and sharing finalized assets with sales team, author team, and agents
• Oversee weekly digital marketing design meeting, updating the team on the status of projects in the pipeline, alerting the team to deadlines, and making updates in the department file management system in real time
• Work in a creative digital team environment developing and executing marketing plans with the Brand and Trade Marketing teams along with our Publicity department, including writing copy for digital marketing assets and advertising campaigns and updating title marketing plans
• Oversee Digital Marketing department seasonal project grid, including updating title list, setting and adhering to team deadlines, reviewing all projects, and submitting all projects to internal project management systems
• Process all team invoicing, tracking, payment, and manage the PO process for the Digital Marketing team with the PRH AP department and external vendors
• Assist Digital Marketing team with social media and website projects, such as QA, community management, spam management, archiving assets, etc.
• Assist Digital Marketing team with additional tasks and administrative projects, such as taking meeting notes, contracting, invoicing, and mailings for influencer programs and partnerships, maintaining seasonal tracking grids and processes, and acting as point person for the digital team for corporate and departmental processes

Requirements/Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of marketing and/or related brand experience
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and can work independently, as well as in a team
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate should be proactive and exceptionally organized with sharp attention to detail
• Exceptional written and communication skills. Strong communication and writing skills are essential
• Interest in and knowledge of social media and digital marketing a plus
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams, Google Docs; Working knowledge of Basecamp
