Manager, National Accounts (Open to Remote)

Penguin Random House is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager, National Online Accounts to join our Online & Digital Sales team. In this fast-paced and highly visible role, you will play a critical role in maximizing sales growth through strategic partnerships with key online accounts, including Amazon.com.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales at our key online accounts, with a particular focus on Amazon.com. This includes analyzing sales data, requesting and reviewing orders in detail, and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with publishing/imprint managers to forecast physical demand across frontlist and backlist titles, ensuring optimal inventory levels for our online partners.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key account managers at online retailers. This includes creating and assisting in the development of account-specific merchandising and sales presentations. You will also provide input into publishing programs to better serve our online customers.
• Be a central point of contact for all information related to our online accounts, ensuring seamless communication with internal departments (editorial, marketing, operations, etc.).
• Run and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and discover new sales opportunities.
• Participate in occasional meetings at our headquarters in New York City (approximately once a year).

Required qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years prior sales or related experience, including directly interacting with accounts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent product knowledge and understanding of publishing functions
• Superb presentation skills
• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to create and run reports, analyze data, and communicate key findings/opportunities
• Proactive and able to problem solve and adapt within a rapidly evolving environment
• Must be a self-starter and self-motivated, but with the ability and willingness to work in a team environment
• Awareness of and interest in digital publishing landscape
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, where candidates who demonstrate significant prior experience working with National Accounts may be considered at the higher end of the range. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
