Digital Marketing Assistant, Berkley (Open to Remote)

The Berkley imprint at Penguin Random House seeks a Digital Marketing Assistant to support digital marketing efforts and initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Assistant will provide administrative support and assist with creating marketing materials and campaigns for a wide array of commercial fiction. Berkley is an industry leader in publishing commercial and genre fiction. Our authors include Emily Henry, Grady Hendrix, Jasmine Guillory, Anissa Gray, Chanel Cleeton, Isabel Cañas, William Gibson, Genevieve Gornichec, Mia P. Manansala, Amanda Jayatissa, and Ashley Herring Blake.

The Digital Marketing Assistant should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about publishing, and enjoy reading broadly and often. We seek an individual ready to champion Berkley's books from day one while working alongside a fun and fast-paced team. The Assistant should be a detail-orientated self-starter, a strong written and verbal communicator, and an organized multitasker. The Role:
• Providing extensive support to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing on direct-to-consumer initiatives and projects, including book club community management, ambassador community management, landing page creation, mailings of books and other materials
• Creating content for and maintaining Berkley Romance social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Threads, TikTok
• Creating and deploying newsletter campaigns for Berkley Romance
• Managing Facebook groups with active posts and creating content
• Helping with partnership outreach and other digital marketing initiatives as needed

The Essentials:
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with excellent follow-through
• Knowledge and/or experience with social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram
• Great verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish relationships within the imprint and outside the imprint
• Ability to prioritize and juggle tasks from multiple points of contact
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel or similar programs such as Google Doc, Sheets, etc.
• Knowledge of Canva and Photoshop a plus (Training Available)
• Knowledge and experience creating TikTok and Instagram Reels a plus

The salary for this position is $48,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.

The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
