Audio Art Rights Assistant
Penguin Random House Audio, the premiere publisher in the audiobook industry, is seeking an Assistant to support the Audio Rights and Permissions department within the Audio Operations group with clearing artwork for use on our audio products. This division publishes over 1,800 top-quality fiction and nonfiction audiobooks per year across multiple formats and genres, and this is an exciting opportunity to learn about audio publishing as well as rights clearances and related processes.
Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating with Audio Rights, trade book publishers, and Audio Art to process usage agreements and vendor invoices
• Working with Accounts Payable to set up outside vendors' accounts and process payments
• Attending weekly status meetings with multiple departments
• Troubleshooting issues with vendor paperwork and invoices or payments
• Communicating with multiple vendors regarding agreements and invoice submissions
• Assisting with special projects as needed
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to problem-solve and navigate issues diplomatically and professionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SAP and/or FileMaker Pro a plus but not required
